Night Drinks for Morning Glow

Small, calming sips before bed that in my experience support a deeper, more restful night — and a glowing morning. Chamomile, lemon balm, golden milk, and magnesium water.

⏱ 5 min 🍽 Serves 1 🌿 Herbal ✨ Rest & Recovery
🌙

Ingredients

For 1 servings

•
1 cup chamomile tea, brewed and cooled slightly
•
½ cup lemon balm tea (or 1 tsp dried lemon balm steeped in hot water)
•
1 cup golden milk — warm oat milk, ½ tsp turmeric, pinch cinnamon, pinch black pepper
•
1 cup magnesium water (dissolve ¼ tsp magnesium citrate powder in water)
•
1 tsp raw honey, optional — to sweeten any of the above

How I Make It

1

Brew your teas

Steep chamomile and lemon balm in hot water for 5–7 minutes. Let cool slightly so the warmth is soothing, not scalding.

2

Warm the golden milk

Gently heat oat milk in a small pot. Whisk in turmeric, cinnamon, and a pinch of black pepper. Do not boil — just warm through.

3

Prep the magnesium water

Stir magnesium citrate powder into a glass of cool water until dissolved.

4

Choose your sip for the night

I don't drink all four every night — I choose based on how I'm feeling. Chamomile on anxious nights. Golden milk when I need warmth. Magnesium water when I've been on my feet all day.

Lee's Notes

  • → Chamomile is my go-to when my mind won't quiet down.
  • → Golden milk with oat milk is creamier and gentler than dairy for me at night.
  • → I make magnesium water when my legs feel restless — what I noticed is a much calmer sleep.
  • → Sweeten lightly or not at all — you want these drinks to wind you down, not spike your energy.
