Ingredients
For 6–8 servings
•
¼ cup tahini (sesame paste)
•
3 tbsp fresh lemon juice (about 1 large lemon)
•
1–2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
•
2–3 tbsp warm water, to thin
•
Pinch cayenne, optional
•
Fresh herbs: parsley or cilantro, finely chopped — optional but beautiful
How I Make It
1
Combine base ingredients
In a small bowl or jar, whisk together tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and olive oil. The mixture will seize up at first — that's normal.
2
Thin with warm water
Add warm water one tablespoon at a time, whisking until you reach a drizzleable consistency. I like mine like a loose honey.
3
Add the golden spices
Stir in turmeric and cumin. Taste and adjust — more lemon for brightness, more tahini for richness.
4
Finish with herbs
Fold in fresh parsley or cilantro if using. Transfer to a jar for storing.

Lee's Notes
- → I keep a jar of this in the fridge at all times — it keeps for a week and makes any meal feel elevated.
- → Drizzle on roasted vegetables, grain bowls, wraps, salads, or grilled chicken.
- → Turmeric turns the sauce a gorgeous golden yellow — add it without hesitation.
- → The sauce thickens in the fridge; just stir in a splash of warm water to loosen it back up.
