Barnes Signature Protein Wrap

This is our family recipe — the one that disappears fastest at any gathering. Packed with protein and flavor, it's what I make when I want something that satisfies deeply and keeps everyone full for hours.

🌿 Plant-Forward ✦ Whole Ingredients 💛 Nourishing
🫔

"This wrap was born out of a Sunday meal prep session where I was trying to use everything in the fridge. What I noticed when I started making it regularly is that the Greek yogurt swap for sour cream is one you genuinely cannot taste the difference in — but it changes the nutrition profile significantly."

"Here's what I learned from my family's feedback: the secret is layering the avocado first. It acts as a natural 'glue' that keeps everything together when you bite in."

🌿 Ingredients

  • 2 large whole wheat or spinach tortillas
  • 4 oz grilled chicken breast, sliced thin
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
  • ½ avocado, mashed with lime juice
  • ¼ cup black beans, rinsed and drained
  • ¼ cup shredded romaine lettuce
  • 2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt (in place of sour cream)
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce or salsa
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste

✦ How I Prepare It

  1. Warm the tortillas for 20–30 seconds in a dry pan or microwave — warm wraps fold without cracking.
  2. Spread mashed avocado across the center of each tortilla.
  3. Layer sliced chicken and eggs over the avocado.
  4. Add black beans, lettuce, and a spoonful of Greek yogurt.
  5. Drizzle with hot sauce or salsa and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  6. Fold sides in, then roll from bottom to top. Slice on a diagonal and serve.

  • Southwest style — add corn, jalapeño, and lime-cilantro yogurt dressing
