Creamy Banana Peanut Yogurt Bowl

Plain yogurt, banana, peanut butter, honey, and warming spice. What I reach for when I want something satisfying and nourishing before bed — it's filling without being heavy.

⏱ 5 min 🍽 Serves 1 🌿 Vegetarian ✨ Gut & Comfort
🍌

Ingredients

For 1 servings

•
¾ cup plain full-fat yogurt (or Greek yogurt)
•
1 ripe banana, sliced
•
1 tbsp natural peanut butter
•
1 tsp raw honey or maple syrup
•
Pinch cinnamon
•
Optional: crushed walnuts or almonds, chia seeds, dark chocolate shavings

How I Make It

1

Spoon the yogurt into a bowl

Use a wide, shallow bowl so you have room to layer everything beautifully. Room temperature yogurt feels more comforting than cold.

2

Layer the banana

Slice ripe banana in rounds and arrange on top. The riper the banana, the sweeter and more calming it is.

3

Drizzle peanut butter over the banana

If your peanut butter is thick, warm it for 10 seconds in the microwave so it drizzles easily.

4

Sweeten and spice

Drizzle honey or maple syrup and dust with cinnamon. Add any optional toppings.

5

Enjoy slowly and unwind

I eat this sitting down, without my phone. That's part of what makes it feel like self-care.

Lee's Notes

  • → Ripe bananas are key — they're sweeter, easier to digest, and more comforting.
  • → Full-fat yogurt keeps me fuller through the night compared to low-fat versions.
  • → A pinch of cinnamon does more than add flavor — it helps balance blood sugar before sleep.
  • → This is my 'I deserve something gentle tonight' bowl. No guilt. Just nourishment.
